Project Description

MANAGING PEOPLE is a highly practical and engaging approach to management delivered over a number of sessions. The format includes, case studies, group exercises and presentations. Topics covered includes; the role of the manager, motivation, effective communication, staff engagement, delegation, and performance management.

As a result of an internal management audit a Professional Governing Body found inconsistencies in the ways in which, the values of the organisation were being embodied and lack of clarity regarding effective management practices.

A management development programme was created to train all first-line and mid-level managers in the behaviours and skills necessary for effective people management. The programme included one-to-one coaching and the setting up of action-learning groups in order to lengthen the learning process and embed new behaviours.
